How do you post one video to all eight platforms at once?
Export one vertical 9:16 MP4 (H.264 video, AAC audio, 1080 × 1920, 30 fps) between 4 and 90 seconds long and under 300 MB. That file fits the published limits of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Pinterest. Then write a caption for each and schedule them together.
The one file that fits all eight
- Shape: vertical 9:16 at 1080 × 1920. Meta recommends 9:16 for Instagram, Facebook and Threads reels, YouTube counts vertical videos up to 3 minutes as Shorts, X accepts 1:3 to 3:1, and Pinterest lists 9:16 among its recommended shapes.
- Length: 4 to 90 seconds. Facebook Page reels posted through Meta's API run 3 to 90 seconds and Pinterest videos start at 4 seconds, so this window fits every platform.
- File: MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio. Every platform below accepts MP4 or H.264.
- Frame rate: 30 fps. Instagram, Threads and TikTok need 23 to 60, Facebook reels 24 to 60, and X 60 or less.
- Size: under 300 MB, Instagram's limit for Reels and the smallest one stated.
- Text on screen: keep it away from the edges, since each app puts its buttons over a different part of the frame.

How to post it everywhere
Export the master
From your editor, export one 9:16 MP4 at 1080 × 1920, 30 fps, H.264 with AAC audio, between 4 and 90 seconds.
Save a cover image
Pinterest needs a cover image for every video Pin, and the other apps show one on your profile. Save a still with your title on it.
Write a caption for each
Same idea, different length. Threads allows 500 characters; Pinterest gives you a title of up to 100 characters and a description of up to 800; LinkedIn readers want the point in the first line.
Put the link where it works
Links in Instagram and TikTok captions can't be tapped, so point to your bio there. On Pinterest the link goes on the Pin itself.
Schedule them together
Use each app's own scheduler, or one tool that posts to all of them. Pick the same day so the video lands everywhere at once.
Check each one after it goes out
A video can upload fine and still be rejected while the platform processes it. Open each post once it's due and make sure it's live.
The easier way
- Upload your takes or one long video. On Growth and Pro, Socialhand cuts, captions and sizes them into reels and posts each one to all 8 platforms, including Reels, TikTok and Shorts.
- Each platform gets its own version of the post, made for how that platform works.
- Every post is checked against its platform's limits before you can approve it: caption length, hashtags, video length and carousel size. Anything that breaks a limit is flagged so it's fixed before it's scheduled.
- Plans start at $97 a month for all 8 platforms, and you can try it free first.
Questions people ask
What's the best aspect ratio for posting everywhere?
Vertical 9:16. Meta recommends it for Instagram, Facebook and Threads reels, YouTube treats vertical videos up to 3 minutes as Shorts, and X and Pinterest both accept it.
Can I post a 3-minute video everywhere?
Not as a Facebook Page reel through Meta's API, which stops at 90 seconds. Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, X, Threads and Pinterest all accept 3 minutes.
